Hurricane is the most frequent declaration type on Tarrant County's federal record, 29% of its declarations. Hail is among the most expensive hazards in the model relative to how little it threatens life. It concentrates on roofs, vehicles and crops, and a single severe storm can generate an insurance loss across a metropolitan area without a single injury.
