Each study here is computed from 2,004,972 NOAA storm records through June 30, 2026, 73,458 tornadoes and 5,269 FEMA declarations. The sources are NOAA's Storm Events Database and Storm Prediction Center tornado database since 1950, and FEMA's disaster declarations since 1953. Each leads with its finding and states its method, sources and limits.
